Darius did his BCom (Hons), Diploma in Business Management in India before qualifying with the AAT in 1982. He did his articles at Frankson Wiles & Co, a small accountancy practice in Southall from 1972 to 1976. From 1976 to 1978, he was the Financial Controller of Salsola Shipping, a shipping company. He then joined a small Accountancy practice in London in 1978 but began trading on his own in 1980. He incorporated DS Burge & Co. in January 2003.
