Client Engagement Procedures
For all new clients, we are required by law to carry out certain Know Your Client checks before confirming that we are able to accept appointment to act on their behalf. This may require certain documents to be provided by them. We would be grateful if these documents could be required on request.
If a new client joins us from a former accountant, we are obliged to carry out certain client acceptance procedures before confirming that we are able to accept appointment to act on their behalf. We will talk you through such procedures if they are required.
We provide our clients an estimate of the completion date of the work required on the basis of the information provided to us. As any delay in providing us with such information can cause a delay in completing the work our clients are responsible for ensuring that we are given everything in good time.
Third Parties
Our clients agree to allow us to approach third parties for information where appropriate. We will keep all information confidential, subject to legal and regulatory requirements.
Our Fees
Our fees will be commensurate with the seniority and professional expertise of the persons engaged on the work and based on the hours spent in performing the work.
We provide our clients an estimate of the completion date of the work required on the basis of the information provided to us. As any delay in providing us with such information can cause a delay in completing the work our clients are responsible for ensuring that we are given everything in good time. Should we come across anything which significantly alters the anticipated costs we will contact you setting out the circumstances and seek your instructions.
We will issue you with an invoice on completion of the assignment. Our payment terms are 30 days from the date of our invoice.
Complaints Procedure
If during the course of our relationship our clients have any concerns about our service you can raise these with Kieran Burge in the first instance. If you raise any concerns which Kieran cannot address to your satisfaction you have the right to take that issue up with the ICAEW via the link below:
Professional Indemnity Insurance
I confirm that I hold professional indemnity insurance with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Plc (brokered by Bluefin Professions) of 20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3AU. The territorial coverage is worldwide excluding professional business carried out from an office in the United States of America or Canada and excludes any action for a claim bought in any court in the United States of America or Canada.
